3.The Marmara Taksim — Modern Convenience in the City Center
If you enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the city center, The Marmara Taksim comes highly recommended. Located near Taksim Square, it serves as an ideal base for exploring modern Istanbul.
Although my room wasn’t large, it was spotless, and the modern décor created a cozy, comfortable feel. Outside the window lay a bustling cityscape—towering buildings and the lively hum of crowds—a stark contrast to the classical tranquility of the Old City.
From the hotel, I could easily walk to Istanbul’s liveliest shopping street, Istiklal Avenue. The street is alive with bustling cafés and snack stalls; I loved sitting at an outdoor café in the afternoon, sipping Turkish coffee while watching passersby and street performers.
In the evening, the hotel’s rooftop bar offered spectacular night views. Sipping a cocktail while looking down at the lights of Taksim Square, I could truly feel the convergence of modernity and history in this city.
4.Ajwa Hotel Sultanahmet — A Boutique Hotel Rich in Art and Culture

5.Swissôtel The Bosphorus — A blend of luxury and natural scenery
For my final night, I chose Swissôtel The Bosphorus, which boasted the most comprehensive facilities of all the hotels I stayed at in Istanbul. Situated along the Bosphorus, the hotel features private gardens and an infinity pool.
I basked in the sunshine by the pool; with the sea meeting the skyline in the distance, it felt like stepping into a painting. The hotel’s spa and fitness center were also outstanding, allowing me to fully unwind after the fatigue of travel.
I had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant; every dish was exquisite, particularly the local seafood and Turkish kebabs, which were fresh and authentic. The private boat tour offered by the hotel allowed me to admire the city’s nightscape from the Bosphorus Strait—a truly luxurious experience.

Meanwhile, if you are looking for a resort-like atmosphere and sea views, the luxury hotels along the Bosphorus are the perfect choice.
These five hotels not only provided a comfortable stay but also allowed me to experience Istanbul’s unique urban charm in every detail.
