Arrival in Bangkok, Taste Authentic Thai Lunch

We arrived in Bangkok on a Thai Airways flight and began our Thai cuisine journey at Suvarnabhumi Airport. At a restaurant called “Thai Taste,” we tasted delicious Thai green curry chicken (200 baht/portion) and Thai-style lemon fish (250 baht/portion). The restaurant’s taste was very authentic, and our taste buds were conquered by these delicacies. My girlfriend said this was the most delicious green curry chicken she had ever eaten.

Visit the Grand Palace and Experience the Royal Style of Thailand

In the afternoon, we visited the Grand Palace in Bangkok, which cost 500 baht/person for admission. The Grand Palace’s unique architectural style, with its gold and glittering appearance, was breathtaking. We visited various attractions such as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Golden Palace and took many beautiful photos. My girlfriend especially loved the Grand Palace’s architectural style, which she thought gave a solemn and mysterious feeling.

At night, we went to the famous Ratchada Train Market, which was filled with various small food stalls offering a wide range of delicacies. We tasted grilled crocodile (300 baht/portion), fried noodles (50 baht/portion), and a dessert called “pearl milk tea” (30 baht/cup). My girlfriend particularly loved the pearl milk tea, and she praised it as the best pearl milk tea she had ever tasted. We also purchased some unique souvenirs such as handmade wood carvings and Thai silk scarves.

Explore the Ancient City of Siam and Learn About Thai History

For the last attraction of the day in Bangkok, we chose to visit the Ancient City of Siam, which cost 700 baht/person for admission. This is a replica of an ancient building group with a unique architectural style that recreates important events and scenes in Thai history. We strolled along the wide tree-lined avenue, admiring various buildings and feeling the long history of Thailand. My girlfriend thought the Ancient City of Siam was one of the most spectacular architectural groups she had ever seen in Thailand.

Chao Phraya River Night Cruise, Experience Bangkok Night Scenes

To end our first day in Bangkok, we chose to take a night cruise on the Chao Phraya River. We boarded a boat called “Bangkok Night Lights,” which cost 1,200 baht/person, including a buffet dinner. On the boat, we enjoyed the night view of Bangkok and tasted a sumptuous buffet dinner, including Thai-style salad, grilled meat, fruit, and more. My girlfriend thought this was the most romantic night she had ever spent in Thailand.

The first day’s journey was fulfilling and enjoyable. We experienced Thai cuisine, culture, and charm in Bangkok. Tomorrow, we will go to Chiang Mai, the cultural capital of Northern Thailand, and look forward to more exciting trips.
