Day 7: Great Ocean Road self-driving tour

Renting a car and heading to Great Ocean Road

In the morning, we rented a car in the city and started our self-driving tour of the Great Ocean Road. It is one of the world’s most beautiful coastal roads, stretching approximately 243 kilometers with spectacular scenery along the way.

The Loch Ard Gorge Lookout

Our first stop was the Loch Ard Gorge Lookot, which is the starting point of the Great Ocean Road. Standing on the lookout, we could overlook the beautiful coastline and the blue sea. The sunlight sparkled on the sea, creating a breathtaking view.

The Twelve Apostles

Next, we arrived at the famous Twelve Apostles scenic area, which is one of the most famous attractions on the Great Ocean Road. It consists of twelve independent rock pillars. We took many photos on the lookout to record this spectacular natural landscape.

The Beach Coves

Afterward, we went to the Beach Coves, where there is a huge natural cave that can be walked through during low tide. We took off our shoes and waded through the cave, feeling the wonder of nature.

The town of Port Campbell

At night, we rested in the town of Port Campbell. The town has many restaurants and bars, and the nightlife is rich and colorful. We tasted delicious seafood at a local restaurant and enjoyed a pleasant dinner.
